Keilwerth - H. Couf Superba I Soprano Saxophone 1970/80Top of the line professional model Superba I Soprano made by Keilwerth. This Horn has just been serviced and is a exceptional playing Soprano in excellent condition. It produces a beautiful warm tone, even sonics throughout all regiasters, and accurate intonation. Also has high F# key. The original lacquer is ornate and engraved with: " H. Couf Superba I Elkhart Ind. USA - made in West Germany exclusively for W.T. Armstrong Company by Julius Keilwerth Musical Instrument Factory." 1965 to 1986 Herbert Couf, the President of the WT Armstrong Company, had three Keilwerth models stenciled for him under the model name "H-Couf": the "Superba I", "Superba II" and "Royalist". All these Instruments were built in Germany. The Superba 1 and 2 were Pro models and with exeptional quality of sound.
