Antique early 19th century Boxwood Clarinet in B made by G. French, London. This Clarinet has just been complete overhauled and is in remarkably crisp condition. its tone is very nice in low and high notes. Horn features Boxwood Body in excellent condition without any cracks, ivory ferrules, original mouthpiece, 12 Brass Keys and 8 open tone holes. Length of the Clarinet without the mouthpiece is 22 ¾ inches ( 58 cm). The maker's stamp appears on every section of this Clarinet including the mouthpiece. it reads: 'G. French, 12 Laystall St, Grays Inn Lane, London, 'B'. This is certainly an interesting Instrument that would make a perfect addition to any collection or for a player of historical Instruments, Renaissance / Early Baroque Ensemble.
